Good Things To Come

"Some blessings come soon, some come late and some don't come until Heaven. But for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ- They come. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come." Jeffery R. Holland

Playing Pretend

I should make mommy a chocolate pie. Better call Memaw for the recipe.

Watching the chocolate cook on the stove.

Make sure I add all the ingredients on the list.

Take it out of the oven- careful, it's hot.

mmmm.... this chocolate pie almost taste like the real thing!

More Christmas

Her shopping cart- with space for her baby doll. She's reading to her baby.

New books!

I want to open this too! You can! It's all for you!

She was great at unwrapping all her presents

Playing with her kitchen. She didn't even realize there were other gifts!

Christmas 2010

Memaw and Da ( my parents) got her food to go with her Kitchen and a shopping cart from grandma (jonathan's mom)

Opening gifts from my family.

She loved it!

Close up on the kitchen.

Christmas morning.. before Ally was awake. Santa came and brought her a play kitchen and Book of Mormon board books as her scriptures.

The Move

Okay- so we are alive!! It just took a really long time to get settled and the internet up and running so that I could update the blog.

So we left Texas November 20th, at 8 in the morning and arrived in St. George on the 21st. We were there for a week for Thanksgiving and then travelled the 8 hours or so to Eagar, Az and stayed with Jonathan's grandmother for 2 weeks until we got our new apartment. Yep, we were homeless for 3 weeks, and while everyone was nice to put us up- it's difficult to be in someone else's space for that long and with a 2 year old that is acting out because she has no clue what is going on.

So we live in the apartment above the local dentist office. I know... it sounds weird and I didn't like the idea at first either when I heard it... but after seeing the space it's not weird at all. Its a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, with a loft that we use as a guest room. There is a nook for the office, space for the dinning area, wood floors and a fireplace. It's really nice and probably the best that we could have found in this small town. There weren't very many options for renting- buying yes- renting not so much.

There were a few casualties in the move- the office chair lost a wheel, my dinning room center piece was thrown out by Jonathan( he claims it was an accident- but I don't believe him) the food storage froze and a couple of jars of salsa broke, and a few things are still MIA but I hope to find them eventually.

We aren't unpacked all the way yet and the place is a mess. We still have stuff in storage that we need to get out but a blizzard came and we haven't thawed out yet. I'll have to clean to take pictures of the place and then take them again when it is finally what I want it to be.

But we made it and that is all that matters.
